Test of Time Award

Starting in 2024, the Symposium on Combinatorial Pattern Matching (CPM) will issue an annual CPM Test-of-Time Award, recognizing outstanding papers in algorithms research that were published in the CPM proceedings at least 20 years ago and which are still influential and stimulating for the field today.

The CPM Test of Time Award Committee decided to grant the CPM Test of Time Award in year 2024 to

Toru Kasai, Gunho Lee, Hiroki Arimura, Setsuo Arikawa, and Kunsoo Park

for their contribution entitled

Linear-Time Longest-Common-Prefix Computation
in Suffix Arrays and Its Applications

which was presented at CPM 2001 in Jerusalem and published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science 2089 by Springer (link).
